Important: Changes to electricity grid tariffs
Obligatory reservations and access capability

Starting January 1, 2023, the calculation of grid tariffs will be altered. Flemish distribution network operator Fluvius will from then on out implement a capacity tariff. This implies an obligation to reserve a certain amount of electrical power on the grid through the so-called “access capability”.

WDP takes care of everything
Since WDP also manages energy contracts, we‘ll carry out this reservation for the electricity connections under our management. Specifically for automated energy meters, WDP will determine the accurate access capability, based on an analysis of historically registered user profiles.

Important: if electrical consumption profiles change, inform us so we can adjust the reservation accordingly.

Here’s what you need to know
The cost structure of electricity invoices will change. You’ll be able to consult these changes through MyWDP in the course of 2023. You don’t need to take any action, WDP will take care of the settings for the access capability.
