Important information about your energy supply

With today’s uncertain energy context across Europe, energy suppliers are no longer willing to offer similar conditions to previous years. WDP therefore engaged an independent energy consultant to negotiate the most advantageous energy contract for your business.

Here’s how we secured the best rates for you

We contacted 15 different suppliers in November 2022: EDS, Renovatio, CEZ, Tinmar (EyeMall), Enel, Electrica Furnizare, OMV Petrom, MET, E-on, Engie, Restart Energy, Alive Capital,  Electric Planners, Hidroelectrica and, Electromagnetica. We asked them for several proposals for 2023, based on the following priorities:

1. A fixed price
2. A mixed price (part fixed price, part variable)
3. A variable price, based on PZU-Piata zilei urmatoare (day ahead market)

Only half of the suppliers responded to us. Only a few of them sent us a fixed price below the cap price, which had not yet been officially confirmed at that time (OUG119/2022). After comparison and intense negotiations, EDS was selected to offer electricity at the best terms.

For gas, a cap price of 370 lei/MWh for 2023 had already been established by renewal of the 2022 contracts with our suppliers.

After thorough study, the energy contracts for 2023 were awarded to EDS for all locations where we are the owner of the energy contract. The previous contracts expired on 31.12.2022. 
You do not need to take any action yourself at this point. WDP ensures a smooth transition to the new contract so that your energy supply is guaranteed at all times.
